MCP tools and resources

The FuseScope MCP server offers the tools below. Assistants choose them on their own; you rarely call one by name. The README lists every parameter.

Use this page when you want to know what an assistant can see or change, or which tools to auto-approve in your client.

In the Kind column, read tools never change FuseScope and are safe to auto-approve. Create, update and delete tools change it and need an Editor or Admin key; see read-only or read-write.

Overview

fusescope_get_org_overview read Summarize the instance: data freshness and volume, dashboards, alert rules, channels, users, feature flags.

Logs and traces

Tool Kind Does
fusescope_search_logs read Return log records that match a filter.
fusescope_aggregate_logs read Count or aggregate logs, grouped or top-N.
fusescope_search_traces read Return spans, or one row per trace, that match a filter.
fusescope_aggregate_traces read Aggregate spans or AI traces, grouped or top-N.
fusescope_get_trace_details read Get one trace with all its spans and their hierarchy.
fusescope_list_services read List services with traces in a time range.
fusescope_get_service_top_operations read Rank a service’s operations by p99 latency, with calls and errors.
fusescope_get_field_keys read List the attribute keys available for logs, traces or metrics.
fusescope_get_field_values read List values seen for one key.

Metrics

fusescope_list_metrics read Find metric names, types and units.
fusescope_query_metrics read Query a metric: values, trends, breakdowns, formulas.
fusescope_get_top_metrics read Top 100 metrics by ingested samples, for cost work.
fusescope_check_metric_usage read Which dashboards and alerts use a metric.
fusescope_check_metric_cardinality read A metric’s labels ranked by number of distinct values.
fusescope_execute_builder_query read Run a full Query Builder request, including PromQL and ClickHouse SQL.

AI Observability

fusescope_get_ai_pricing read Model prices, and models seen without a price.
fusescope_list_ai_attribute_mappings read Mappings from vendor span attributes to gen_ai.* keys.
fusescope_test_ai_attribute_mapping read Try sample spans against the mappings without saving.

Alerts

fusescope_list_alerts read Alerts firing, silenced or inhibited right now.
fusescope_list_alert_rules read Configured rules, including disabled and OK ones.
fusescope_get_alert read One rule’s full definition.
fusescope_get_alert_history read One rule’s state changes over time.
fusescope_create_alert create Create a threshold or PromQL rule.
fusescope_update_alert update Replace a rule.
fusescope_delete_alert delete Delete a rule.

Anomaly rules are not offered, because FuseScope does not accept them.

Notification channels

fusescope_list_notification_channels read Channel names and kinds, without settings.
fusescope_get_notification_channel read One channel’s full settings, credentials included.
fusescope_create_notification_channel create Create a channel, optionally sending a test.

Besides tools, the server offers MCP resources: reference texts the assistant reads before writing a query, alert or dashboard. They hold no data from your instance.
